IT Recruiter Job Description:-

  • Small to large companies use IT recruiters to hire professionals for areas of technology. Some of the professional positions include system architects, analysts, developers, engineers, and technical support staff members.
  • To find companies that need their IT recruiting services, recruiters may solicit businesses by cold calling, networking, or requesting referrals. Upon establishing relationships with those who need recruiting services, recruiters assist in the development of strategies and improvements to the hiring process. Recruiters must also understand each company's policies and procedures, as well as any governmental guidelines and laws that must be followed prior to the hiring of job applicants.
  • IT recruiters create a pool of candidates through job fairs, social networking, community organizations, Internet data mining, and media channels. Recruiters proceed with the identification of potential candidates through screening and interviewing their pool of applicants. Usually, recruiters are also responsible for completing job applicant background checks and other pre-employment procedures.
  • IT recruiters are the communication link between the hiring company and the job applicant. Recruiters are responsible for staying in touch with job applicants and assisting providing them with guidance in their job search. Duties may also include the negotiation of salaries between the hiring company and the job candidate.


 

Responsibilities :-
 

  • Write, understand and post technical job descriptions
  • Source potential candidates on niche platforms like IIM Jobs, LinkedIn, Naukri, Indeed
  • Parse specialized skills and qualifications to screen IT resumes
  • Perform pre-screening calls to analyze applicants’ abilities
  • Interview candidates combining various methods (e.g. structured interviews, technical assessments and behavioral questions)
  • Coordinate with clients to forecast department goals and hiring needs
  • Craft and send personalized recruiting emails with current job openings to active and passive candidates
  • Participate in tech conferences and meetups to network with IT professionals
  • Negotiate on salary and job offer letters
  • Strong follow up
  • Promote company’s reputation as a great place to work
  • Conduct job and task analyses to document job duties and requirements
  • Keep up-to-date with new technological trends and products


 

Requirements:-

  • Proven work experience as a Technical Recruiter or Recruiter
  • Hands-on experience with various interview formats (e.g. phone, Skype and structured)
  • Technical expertise with an ability to understand and explain job requirements for IT roles
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases
  • Solid knowledge of sourcing techniques (e.g. social media recruiting and Boolean search)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid understanding of HR practices
